This piece is part of an ongoing project that I am working on. It uses the tools that I have most access to, an ipad, for snapshots, and then in this instance I drew onto some paper, and photographed that and then I used a digital programme which I have become a little comfortable with now, I talk about this and other pieces in the series more in the online show, that I curated, and you can find out more about it by clicking on the poster below. Thanks :)
To be updated.
Recently, and an overview.
The show as mentioned below, has now concluded and is archived on the site. The response was very good, and as the hands on aspect involved working intensively with young people, I saved the responses for publication on another occasion. My latest event is see below, Lambeth Open.
This site of course, is about my work, and I will be working on a number of projects, and also trying to approach the business side of things on a more advanced level. I have a few external deadlines of projects that I've been invited to contribute to, so that's good. I will also need to decide how I will be able to bring into fruition something that I want to do, but it's kind of related to the motivation behind what I'm doing now anyway, so it may kind of 'meet in the middle' haha.
So, right now, I am organising an online exhibition on a site that I set up to do my bit for Artists, and those wishing to use Art to express themselves. I've been exhibiting since I was a teenager, and it was never lost on me, that Artists need to be involved in the decision-making process around who gets showed and where, and matters like this, it may seem like a distraction, but really it goes to the heart of being an Artist, and community building, and I think it's only now again, that people are starting to appreciate those things that people take a lot of time over, and that these are the kinds of occupation that are very difficult, nay impossible to automate.
These pursuits that use hand and mind, build communities, self-esteem, people, and pride.
From time to time, I teach in schools, and it is very valuable to see that there are many people who see the importance in art, in actual fact, it was whilst working at a school, a boys school in east London, that I begun to question, how could Art compete with grime, or any kind of 'way out' that young people may aspire to? Later still in engaging more troubled youngsters, and unwell people, you have to reach into where they are, and plant art there.
It may not be a question of 'competing' on the same level, but it begun to get frustrating knowing there was not perhaps a space where someone could feel accepted, and have someone say "Yeah just send me an email with your stuff".
Putting away the work of boys like Wesley, who had spent hours and hours working on a piece, into drawers. Would that be the end of Art for him?
So that was part of the inspiration, and actually THIS year, that wish will come into fruition as I was able to set a project in school that coincided with what I was doing online, so I will be bringing some of those responses during the course of the online show that will in late August.
The site is http://www.artyesart.co.uk and the theme as shown in the poster below, is London. I am always looking for talented Artists to come on board, so you can contact me about that, by clicking on this poster, or the linked title, and going on that site, and filling in the contact form, there.
Thanks so much.
People have been asking about how to get stuff. So I set up this little link. You can now buy Services and Art directly from my site. I still need to finalise a few details, so I've added a little contact form, but basically you have an idea of something you would want to learn or a piece to put on your wall, and I will do it for you.
Click Drop down button for choices. Internet Tuition can be accessed via email or Facebook.
Thanks for visiting my site. It is still a little in 'Beta' mode, but you can get a pretty good idea of what I'm about!

Some of these images were kindly taken by Phil. He is a really interesting person, and chose the angles.
I have a little video as well, (It's part of a little series) that you can see on my FB Page, that I made whilst I was part of this amazing experience. I'm just in the process of promoting the Page, so maybe you will be one of the first ones to like it?
Since this was written, I do have quite a few likes, but it's always good to keep things growing. I've also gotten a little used to the Insta platform too, so you can follow me there @abenaartistaddo
Thanks so much
